Maya Bellier (France), graduate student in the Bachelor Media & Interaction Design from ECAL, has been offered to expand her project “Strike the Pose” under the guidance of swissnex San Francisco and other partner institutions through mentoring sessions and a professional trip to San Francisco in 2021 (or a virtual residency).

“Strike the Pose”, a re-interpretation of Oskar Schlemmer’s Triadic Ballet, is a participatory VR experience that questions the conventions in the performing arts and blurs the position of the observer and performer while integrating an innovative use of machine learning for body movement recognition.
